Lions rule out two, list five as questionable for game with Vikings

Allen Park — As expected, the Detroit Lions ruled out defensive tackle Mike Daniels and rookie cornerback Amani Oruwariye for Sunday's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings after both players missed the full week of practice.

Additionally, the team listed five players as questionable for the contest. 

Cornerback Darius Slay, safety Quandre Diggs, defensive tackle Da'Shawn Hand, offensive tackle Rick Wagner and fullback Nick Bawden make up that second group. 

Slay and Diggs are both dealing with lingering hamstring issues. Slay was able to play Monday night against the Packers, while Diggs sat out the primetime showdown. Hand, meanwhile, has been out since the first week of training camp with an elbow issue.

Wagner had been limited the first two days of the practice week with a knee injury, but practiced fully on Friday. Bawden was the opposite, having practiced fully the first two days before a back injury limited his participation on Friday. 

As for Minnesota, their injury report is more sparse. Linebacker Ben Gedeon will miss his second straight game with a concussion, while linebacker Kentrell Brothers, who primarily contributes on special teams, is questionable with a hamstring strain.
