34-year-old Dearborn man arrested in stabbing of eight people in Detroit

A suspect has been arrested in the stabbing of eight people early Sunday on Detroit's west side.

A 34-year-old man from Dearborn was arrested about 8:30 a.m. after investigators were told a man with injuries from an altercation was at a local hospital.

None of the stabbings were fatal, and it appeared that one person fired shots but no one was hit, police said.

The altercation started at about 4:41 a.m. inside a building in the 6700 block of Greenfield and continued into the parking lot, police said.
